Ignition—How to Increase Social Media Engagement [VIDEO]

Is your business’ social media engagement just not where you want it to be? Social media engagement might seem mysterious, but it’s actually not.

Dave Kerpen, CEO of Likeable Local, visited Ignition in New York to share his top three things to examine to increase your brand’s social media engagement.  Those three things are:

Audience: Who are they, and are they the right audience for your brand?

Content: Is your content engaging, and are you framing it in the most engaging way possible?

Money: Are you putting money behind your social media posts? You should be.


Dave said that in this day and age, especially on Facebook, you must pay to play, but the good news is that you don’t have to spend that much, maybe $5 to get thousands of people to see your update. He also says it’s a far more favorable way to spend your marketing budget than direct mailing other “traditional” methods.

Dave Kerpen also shared his tips for being a great social brand: be useful and awesome, be consistent, and really listen to your audience and give them what they want.
